I have been supporting learning with technology for over twenty-five years as an elementary and middle school teacher and principal. I am a member of Vita-Learn, Vermont’s ISTE affiliate’s board of directors where I have advocated for transformative technology integration at the local and state level. I have presented on technology topics including the value of social networking and the use of digital tools at the ISTE Leadership Forum in 2012 and the ISTE Annual Conference in 2012 and 2010, the K12 Online Conference, Vermont Fest, and the New England League of Middle Schools Annual Conference. In addition to my leadership work in PK-12 education, I teach pre-service education classes for the Community College of Vermont and am planning a graduate level course on Technology and the Common Core in the summer of 2013 at the Marlboro Graduate Center. I have also published articles in the National Association of Elementary School Principal’s magazine Principal and ISTE’s Learning and Leading with Technology.
